Jay Cee 2 piece

Requires: starting clamp (see variation for method wo/ starting clamp)
Needs additional 18" to mains
Mains tie after a bottom cross, crosses top and 3rd from bottom will be tied off.
Illustration built from this description appearing in a GSS thread 2 piece stinging[sic] post #17.
Jay Cee claims this pattern maintains tension better on the mains, and puts all 4 string ends on crosses.

String all but outer 2 sets of mains

Description for racquets with mains ending at the throat. This pattern has additional complications if the tie-offs for crosses are on the 3rd cross from the bottom.

Increase tension for outer mains

add 8 lbs to each of the outer 2 sets of mains

Weave last crosses

With the right side, weave last cross. With the left, weave the 2nd to last cross.

Tension last crosses

Tension 2nd from last cross at the +8 tension, clamp w/ starting clamp outside frame. Tension last cross, clamp close to frame. Tie-off.

Tie off last cross

Re-tension starting cross, remove starting clamp, clamp. Tie-off.

Bed knots/move slack

Press hard onto each cross to bed the knots, the push down on each of the outer mains, progressively moving in to the center mains to move any slack to the center of the stringbed.

Weave the first two crosses backward

Make sure the 2nd cross on the top is the same as the 2nd to last cross if the racquet total number of crosses is odd, opposite if even.

Tension the crosses

Tension the crosses +4lbs than the center mains.

Tie-off complication

Sometimes the tie-off for the crosses is the 3rd cross from the bottom. This is a problem for this pattern since the string we are tying off is the the 3rd cross from the bottom. In this case, string the 3rd cross from the bottom before the 4th cross, then tie-off from the 4th.
