Liam ATW, UKRSA ATW

Requires: starting clamp , short side additional 2 cross lengths. Illustration built from this description RSI Easy ATW stringing from May 2007 issue. Pattern designed for 1 piece stringing top down for racquets with mains ending in the throat.

Video Demonstration

This video from YULitle demonstrates the Liam ATW pattern.

USRSA notes that this pattern works well on racquets with 2 skips in the head and throat.

String all but outer mains

Secure the short side main at head with starting clamp. Make sure to clamp the long side low enough so that the 2nd cross isn't blocked.

Long side 2nd cross

String and tension 2nd cross using long side. Thread and continue until max even crosses, leaving both last crosses or one last cross depending upon the total number of crosses. The crosses will always end on the long side this way.

Finish long side

Weave long side main, then top cross, tie off.

Finish short side

Re-tension and release starting clamp, replacing with left side clamp. Weave short side main, remaining bottom crosses, tie-off.
